Accessibility Statement

PestWatchDog is meant to be usable by everyone who needs to make a pest control decision — including people using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, voice control, or magnification. Our target standard is WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and we treat it as a floor, not a finish line.

• Semantic structure: proper headings, landmarks, and labels on every page, so assistive tech can navigate our reviews and tables the way sighted users scan them.
• Keyboard access: all interactive elements — the comparison table's sorting and filters, the ZIP checker, the cost calculator, the quiz, forms — operable by keyboard, with visible focus states.
• Data tables done right: our comparison and price tables use real table markup with headers, and the mobile card views preserve reading order and labels.
• Contrast and text: color contrast meeting AA ratios, text resizable to 200% without loss of function, and no information conveyed by color alone (score badges carry numbers, not just colors).
• Media and motion: alt text on informative images, no autoplaying audio, and reduced-motion preferences respected.
• Testing: automated checks (axe/Lighthouse) in our build process plus manual keyboard and screen-reader passes (NVDA, VoiceOver) on templates and new interactive components before launch. [INTERNAL: schedule third-party audit post-launch — PLACEHOLDER for auditor + date.]

Some third-party embeds (affiliate destination pages, email-form iframes from our email provider) are outside our control; we choose vendors with accessibility support and pass issues to them when reported. PDF downloads (like our seasonal calendar) are generated with tagged structure, but if a PDF gives your assistive tech trouble, we'll provide the content in an accessible format on request.
